It is a private limited company primarily engaged in the manufacture of SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) and BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound). SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) and BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound) are composite materials based on a thermosetting resin, filler and glass fiber reinforcement. Incorporated in June 1963, the company has a registered office located in Sondika in Vizcaya, Spain. ASTAR is the only European Company exclusively dedicated to manufacturing SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) and BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound). It specializes in meeting its customer's needs by designing individual formulations based on the highly qualified product engineering process implemented by the company. It bases its philosophy and success on the three core concepts: quality, innovation and service. Attention is always given to the fact that the company actually works alongside customers to prove that it is also part of their company.
